Golden Child: Summer Breeze 2021 Concert Woollim Mall Merch Review (Part 2 of 2)

While Golden Child's 2021 summer concert Summer Breeze has unfortunately been canceled, official merchandise from Woollim Mall were still released. I blogged about my experience ordering the merchandise here.

The Summer Breeze merchandise includes the following:

• Ice Tumbler & Sticker Set
• Photobook
• T-Shirt
• Poster Set
• Nessring
• Tincase & Photocard Set
• Snapback

I previously blogged about the fan, photobook, poster set, and tincase set here. Below I'll blog about the remaining items that I have: ice tumbler, t-shirt, and nessring. As for the snapback...sadly I don't think I'll ever be able to get it...

T-Shirt

The t-shirt comes in 3 colors: mustard, navy, or white. The color is indicated on the sticker label on the outside packaging. The shirt comes in a silver foil cooling bag packaging.

Here is the backside of the cooling bag packaging. The product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication sticker are on the bottom right of the packaging.

The flap of the bag is pretty adhesive. Opening it up, the t-shirt is inside a clear plastic resealable bag and then folded in half.

And here is the t-shirt! It is one size, and made of cotton and polyester. I like how simple the design is, with the simplistic concert logo at the chest.

I've always really liked the tags on Golden Child's clothes, and this one is no exception! This one is actually identical to the tag from the YES. hoodie, with "GOLDEN CHILD" printed in that era's font and instead of a trademark logo at the end, it has a G inside a circle. They both even have the barcode, as well as the same text in the same font in the center.

Here is the backside of the tee. Again the style is very simple, but printed just under the neckline is the original Golden Child logo.

Here is a closeup of the logo. I love that even though Golden Child may change their logo depending on the era, they do still continue to use their original one.

Like all of Golden Child's clothes, this t-shirt is also quite large and boxy. I'm about 5'4" and 105lb, and this is how the tee fits on me. The fit is exactly the same as the Bong Bong t-shirt, with the sleeves going to my elbows, and the overall length hitting mid-thigh. Out of all of Golden Child's tees, this is definitely the most lowkey and simplistic, and I could definitely wear this to work (though of course I wouldn't because I wouldn't want to risk getting it dirty!).

Ice Tumbler & Sticker Set

The ice tumbler and sticker set comes in a clear plastic box packaging with a Summer Breeze logo sticker on the top to seal the opening. I opened the packaging from the bottom to preserve the sticker.

The backside of the packaging contains the product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication sticker. The sticker set is also visible from the backside.

The ice tumbler was packaged with a plastic base for extra security while inside the box. The removable lid was also screwed on and the reusable straw was placed upside down through the lid.

Here you can see the inside of the lid is pretty thick and sturdy to securely screw onto the cup. I've also placed the reusable straw correctly, and there is that stopper on the bottom half so that the straw can't fall out through the top of the lid.

Here is a closer look at the design of the tumbler. The cup itself has a thick layer, probably to retain the coldness. The design has the concert logo along with splashes of light blue, giving off a pool theme.

And here is how the cup looks like, fully intact! The tumbler itself is about 6.5" tall and the diameter of the lid is 4.25". The straw is about 9.5" tall.

The sticker set comes in a clear resealable bag. There are 3 sheets, containing members' photos from the blue shoot and their printed handwritten names, messages, and numbers. Each sheet is about 4.25" by 5.0625". The sheets are glossy on the front and matte white on the back.

Here are all 3 sticker sheets. Seungmin's message is cute, saying "Seungmin Breeze" with a sun icon^^

Nessring

The nessring comes inside a ring case and is accompanied by a paper bag and a paper card with the concert design matching the tincase set and poster set.

Here's how the paper bag looks like standing up. The front of the bag and top of the box both have this alternate concert logo design.

Here is the backside of the paper card, which has the production information and holographic Woollim seal. It's in the same format as the product card from the Golden Child Bracelet originally sold during the opening of Woollim Mall. Information includes the official product name "SUMMER BREEZE 2021 GOLDEN CHILD CONCERT NESSRING", material "SILVER 925 (Vintage Ring)", and production date of "2021. 07".

Here is the box! The packaging is really minimalist but really cute, with an elastic strand wrapping twice around the box. There is also a bronze disc and bead adorning the strand.

Here's now the bottom of the box with the strand intact looks. 

Here is how the box looks without the elastic strand. The strand was pretty tight around the box and even though it's elastic I'm afraid to overstretch it so I don't think I could put it back on, which is unfortunate since the packaging looked so pretty like that. The box itself is made of sturdy cardboard and is about 2.1875" by 2.1875" by 2".

The lid easily slides off from the top. My heart dropped when I saw the contents inside...a foam pad with 3 slits to hold rings, and NO RING. Everline already forgot my snapback and I already dealt with trying to claim that back; I really didn't want to deal with this too...

It turns out, the ring was pushed all the way down so when I turned the foam pad over, it was sticking out of the other side. There is another foam pad lining the bottom of the box.

The half of the ring peeking out from the foam pad was super shiny and clean and silver. But the other half of the ring looked quite tarnished...here you can see it is tarnished from top to bottom, then it fades to just the lettering having a tarnished look.

Here is another look at the tarnished side. The full ring says "GOLDEN CHILD & GOLDENNESS", but the tarnished part stretches from "ESS" through "GOL" of Golden Child.

Here is a closer look at the tarnish. You can still clearly see the lettering, it's just not smooth or shiny :/ Also you can see the typewriter style the lettering has here, with how the wording isn't straight.

"2021 SUMMER BREEZE" is inscribed on the inside of the ring.

Fortunately the other half is nice and shiny! And honestly this would be the side (with the "&") that I'd want to show off anyways. As for the size, this is the smallest size that they offered, 13, and it fits on either my index or thumb though it is still a bit loose. Because this ring is so precious, I'll be keeping it inside its case on my bookcase^^

Overall, I'm happy that now international fans are able to order event merchandise online, and even though Summer Breeze was unfortunately canceled, it's nice that the photoshoots for the concert didn't go to waste and that we were still able to keep our concert merchandise orders^^ Looking at all the Summer Breeze merch as a whole, I really like the variety of items they released, with a mix of purely Golcha's faces and practical items. My favorite item is definitely the photobook!

Golden Child: Summer Breeze 2021 Concert Woollim Mall Merch Review (Part 1 of 2)

It's unfortunate that Golden Child's planned Summer Breeze 2021 summer concert was cancelled, but nonetheless merchandise via Woollim Mall was still released for this event. You can read about my experience ordering the merchandise here.

The Summer Breeze merchandise consists of 8 items. I had planned to get all 8, however Everline messed up my order and they have yet to resolve the issue, so unfortunately I don't have the snapback. Here are the remaining 7 items:

I'll split this post into 2, with this post focusing on those above in bold. I'm splitting it so that this post is focusing on goods of the members while the next post will be focusing on more practical goods. I blogged about the non-bold items here.

Fan

The fan comes in a clear plastic sleeve with the product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication sticker on top. The fan has the same group image on all 10 versions. Unfortunately the group image and text on this side are a bit blurry.

The backside has the individual member image. When purchasing, you select which member to purchase however at the time of preorder the image previews were blurry so it was fun to see how the images looked once I received them^^

The fan is HUGE! The diameter of the circle is 11.5", the handle is 5.5", and the thickness is about 0.125".

Here you can see the images have a glossy finish and in certain angles you can see the spine of the fan inside. The fan itself is very sturdy yet the plastic handle is quite flexible, so this does work very well as a fan.

I love the little details of this fan! The end of the handle has a glossy patent button with the original Golden Child logo on both sides of the handle.

I'm still working on organizing my room, but for now I have the Jaehyun fan displayed inside my tote, next to Jibeom from the 2017 Season's Greetings calendar^^ I'll have to figure out where to put the Jibeom fan...

Update from March 11, 2022: earlier this week I decided to put my Jibeom fan in front of my closet door (where Jaehyun was) and move Jaehyun to a tote bag hanging at my room door, but just today as I walked by my door Jaehyun took a thud...

My fan fell a few feet and the patent buttons at the end of the handle fell off.

Here is a closer look at these "buttons" which I now know are stickers. Luckily these are still super sticky so I was able to put them back on the handle with adding any extra adhesive. And thank goodness my fan is okay, I just need to find a super secure location to display my fans...

Photobook

The photobook comes in a color zip lock bag.

The sticker with the product information and holographic Woollim seal is on the backside of the bag.

The photobook has a matte finish and there is no design or wording on the spine. This photobook is HUGE with dimensions 9.625" by 13.375" by 

The front cover is cute, with a design like a tabbed folder with a group photo and concert logo on the front.

The back cover is simple with the concert logo in the upper right corner.

On the Woollim Mall product page, it states that this photobook has 60 pages. However there are actually 70 pages containing photos.

This photobook contains both photoshoots, with the first section from the summery blue photoshoot. It begins with a group photo across 2 pages.

There are 4 consecutive pages per member, and 1 photo per page.

Either the third or fourth page per member includes that member's printed autograph and message.

I am in love with this photoshoot! I love how fitting it is to summer and to Golden Child's original refreshing and energetic concept. I also love how it has Infinite's That Summer vibes. I can only imagine how Summer Breeze's VCRs would have been if the concert were held...

I also love just how large these photos are, with very little wasted space. And they do mix up the page layouts too, like with how the left photo has a frame.

Look at just how bright and glowing Tag is! He looks so carefree and cheery.

And THIS is just so cute! How Jaehyun looks so adorably awkward, this is definitely one of my most favorite pictures of him.

And Donghyun leaning against the van, he looks so cool here! This photoshoot is so superior, I'm so happy all these photos are included in such a big photobook.

Next is another group photo on a 2-page spread.

The remaining pages are from the white photoshoot, starting with this group photo.

There are 2 consecutive photos per member.

Each member has 2 types of photos out of 3: a head shot, bust shot, or half body shot.

The full body shots are pretty! They do look princely^^

This photoshoot really isn't my style, but Jibeom does pull it off well!

And lastly are 2 more group photos, unfortunately with a lot of wasted space.

Tincase & Photocard Set

The tin case comes in a clear resealable bag.

The product information sticker and holographic Woollim seal are on the backside of the clear resealable bag. This sticker is unfortunately on top of the resealable part of the of the clear bag, so I had to use scissors to cut on the edge of the bag to avoid damaging the sticker.

The tin case is white with a beige matte sticker. This set comes with 30 photocards, which are packaged inside its own clear resealable bag.

Here are the 30 photocards, and the order that they came in. I like how the 3 sets of photocards are of different closeups, with a bust shot, half body shot, and headshot. These photocards have a glossy finish.

The backsides of the cards all have this same design matching the lid of the tin case, and each card has the member's name printed at the bottom.

Poster Set

This poster set comes in a clear plastic tube with plastic caps that are sturdy but also conveniently easy to remove. This tube is 24" tall and 2.25" in diameter. There is a long sticker with a similar design to the lid of the tin case.

Here is a closeup of the plastic cap. It even has a little lip so that you can easily remove it.

There are 11 posters, all from this white photoshoot. The first is a group image, followed by individual member images in age order from Daeyeol to Bomin. The group poster is horizontal with dimensions 22" by 15.5" while the individual member posters are oriented vertically.

Here is the group poster. The posters are all glossy and seem like promide posters.

Here are Daeyeol, Y, Jangjun, and Tag.

Here are Seungmin, Jaehyun, and Jibeom.

And lastly, here are Donghyun, Joochan, and Bomin. Honestly this shoot isn't really my style, but I don't mind building my tube collection^^

Overall, I really like the collection if items from Summer Breeze! The blue photoshoot is my favorite because it reflects Golden Child's bright and refreshing image so well, and for that, the photobook is my favorite item here! I'll blog about the tumbler, ring, and t-shirt in an upcoming post.
