My Ktown4U Package for Infinite's Official Collection Card Vol.2

I have always been quite loyal to Kpoptown.com for my Infinite pre-orders, but I recently found that Ktown4U.com offers the same items with posters for a cheaper price. I first used Ktown4U to pre-order Infinite's second collection card set, so I'll review my thoughts on the company here. This is more for first time Ktown4U customers~

Ktown4U, originally DVD Heaven, is an online retailer that sells official Kpop merchandise. They have a new product strategy where some of their new items will include a folded poster; in the product title, it'll be something like "Poster + (Product)". On the product page, it asks if you want a poster tube for about $1.85 extra (plus extra shipping for the tube).

For Infinite's Official Collection Card Vol.2, there are two random posters. I ordered two sets, therefore I'd get two posters. To guarantee getting two different posters, I wrote in the Shipping Memo "please send two different poster designs."

Ordering from this site is a little confusing. After putting your items in the cart, you enter your shipping information. They ask if you want to label your package as "merchandise" or "gift" and to determine the monetary value of the package, with the default value being the price you're paying. I think all of this is for import fees, but I just chose "merchandise" and the default value, and I didn't have to pay any extra fees through my mail service. After finishing this step, you submit it. Then you have to go to a separate page to pay, which I did via PayPal. I guess they don't have the payment in the same section as the shipping area so Ktown4U can hold onto your order for a few days until you pay.

For two sets, my total was about $63.50, and shipping, which is determined by weight and the shipping method chosen, was about $12. I chose registered small packet for my shipping, because I think these companies won't help you if you get unregistered shipping and your package gets lost. My packaged was shipped a day before the official release date (it was weird, officially it should be June 26th, but everyone seemed to get it on the 25th) and arrived in 13 days. Because it's registered, you have to sign for the package.
My items came in a cardboard box over twice the size of my items, so the box arrived dented as there was so much room inside. Inside the box, my two folded posters were underneath, and the two sets were on top, with three layers of bubblewrap snugged well around my products, so everything arrived in great condition. Of course the boxes are made of tin and my posters are already folded, so I wasn't expecting any damage. I also received three Infinite photocards (they're great at choosing photos, these are some of my favorites!). I forgot to take a picture while I was unboxing my package, but this is basically how it looked like after I removed the bubblewrap, but it was more straightened out.

Overall, I think my go-to online shop would be Ktown4U, because I love getting a free folded poster for cheaper than buying without a poster from other places. I also pre-ordered the limited version of Infinite's "Reality" mini album, so we'll see how well they ship more fragile items.

  1. Hey I also ordered some albums recently from Ktown4u and was wondering if your package arrived in 13 business days or just normal days? It's been 10 days now since my albums shipped, and since Korean packages are untrackable through USPS anymore, I was wondering when I could expect to receive them. Thanks!

    1. Hey again^^ This packaged arrived in 13 normal days for me. I have also ordered two other times from Ktown4u, and both of those packages took 16 normal days to arrive. Don't be worried just yet, hopefully yours will arrive within a week!

    2. it has been 21 normal days and i live in the US. Last time i ordered it only took 11 normal days but this time i ordered 5 albums at once. Do you think that's why it;s taking longer?? Should i be worried.

(PS: I got non-registered shipping and i'm scared if it got lost or something :((

    3. Hmm it still hasn't arrived?!? I don't think ordering 5 albums would make it take longer, since Ktown4u's packages are usually already large cardboard boxes just for 1 CD. I think the longest I waited for a package was 22 normal days (from Kpoptown), so maybe yours is just taking a bit longer...I think after like 30 days, then I would be completely worried...

    4. Thank you/ I'll be sure to contact them tomorrow! :((

    1. Hi^^ I don't think you should be worried, since you put your apartment number down. If you've had packages delivered to your place via the post office, I think this one should be fine too~ And remember it can take 2-3 weeks to arrive. I hope it arrives quickly and safely^^

    2. Wait a second...is this the same package as the one you were waiting for at the beginning of the month? Has it been like 28 days for you? Because that does seem a bit long...

  5. Oh no haha I'm not the Same person. I just stumbled upon your blog while looking for some answers. I'm just a bit afraid if my package gets stolen by someone in my building cause there have been situations where some neighbors have taken packages that don't belong to them. Thank you :)

    1. Ooh haha I'm sorry for the mix up! But I'm relieved that your package isn't delayed then. Hmm that is a serious problem...and I doubt your neighbors would know what to do with kpop merch lol. I really hope no one will take your package!! No problem^^

  7. Hi. I recently placed a large order with ktown4u and when I checked the tracking it says the package arrived damaged. I'm wondering if this happend to you as well. I'm hoping they just left a lot of space in the box like they did for you.

    1. Hi! Oh wow, nothing like that has happened to me. I always just order one item at a time from them, and they're always in waterproof, padded yellow envelopes. But because you do have a large package, hopefully it is just the box that is damaged, and none of your contents. Since you do have tracking that says it's damaged also, if your items are damaged, you should be able to get a replacement. Hope your stuff is okay!

  8. Hi, if i want to buy CD with free poster in ktown4u, how about the poster package? is it comes with tube or not? thank you.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello^^ For ktown4u, you must make sure that you are looking at the product titled "Poster + (title of album)", and not just "(title of album)". Once you select the poster one, then you have another option to choose if you want a tube or not. If you want a tube, you must pay about $3USD. If you don't want a tube, then your poster will come folded, usually with 2 folds total.

  9. You answered any questions I had. I made an order. However, you all should know that if your order is considered overweight they will email you asking for more money (11.66usd to be exact). So be careful shopping at ktown4u because the amount you pay is not finalised until you have the product in your hands ;-;

    1. Thanks so much for the info. I forgot that ktown4u does sometimes ask for more money -.- The shipping quotes given are just estimates. Shipping fees for most items are accurately estimated, but it may be for the uncommon items, such as star cards, that the shipping fee is just an underestimate. For the limited edition of the Reality album, they had asked some customers to pay extra for shipping.

  10. Is it common for Kpoptown to take a long time for shipping? I pre-ordered BTS YNWA set, and it has been almost 8 weeks and it still has not arrived? Do you have any advice on what I should do? I was thinking about next time ordering from Ktown4U...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi~ Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that! The longest I had waited for an item from Kpoptown was 1 month to the US. I think you should contact Kpoptown, tell them it has been almost 8 weeks, and see what they suggest. I hope your YNWA set arrives soon!!

  11. I'm about to order Bts Wings Concept book on Ktown4u and I'm a bit stuck on the shipping methods. I was thinking about choosing "Registered Small Packet" because its cheaper and it says it has a tracking number but then it also says its untraceable?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi^^ Basically the tracking number is only within the Korea Post, so you can track when your package has left Korea. But it is untraceable because there is no tracking once the package has left Korea. Hope this helps!

  12. Yeah, you didn't pay any additional custom fees, but in my country such fees applies to products with values higher than 10 EURO so I'll surely have to pay more :(. I didn't know what to choose when ordering so I chose "gift" and the default value. I'll see when my order will arrive, it's still in "preparing items" stage since 5 days ago.

    1. Thanks for sharing your input! That's too bad that you might have to pay additional fees...I wish you the best of luck!

  13. I live in Canada and I just made an account on Ktown4U and the currency does not automatically change into Canadian dollars, so I was wondering if you know how to? Sorry I'm still new to buying albums online :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi~! Hmm, sadly I think they only have currencies in USD, JPY, CNY, and KRW, depending on which global site you choose on the top left. Let me know if you have any more questions!

  14. My shipping status says 'Shipping Completed', but I did not receive the package. And it is also my first time buying from ktown4u. What should I do? Btw the album I pre ordered was released yesterday. I don't know if I should worry or not.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello^^ Definitely you don't need to be worried! "Shipping Completed" only means that ktown4u has shipped the package (they brought it to the post office), however it does not mean it has been delivered to you yet. Also because the album was just released yesterday, it shouldn't arrive to you so quickly. I would suggest waiting ~2 weeks before you receive your package^^

    2. Thank you so much for replying! It's my first time buying a kpop album, so I was kinda worried.

  15. hi, i'd like to ask if ktown4u accepts canadian currency?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi! I would think that ktown4u accepts Canadian currency. How it works is that you pay via PayPal (either with a PayPal account or you can enter your credit card information). It's just that they might convert your money into Korean currency, so your credit card company may charge you an exchange rate fee. I hope this helps!

  16. I've been considering ordering from them, and I was wondering if it was worth it at all? And were they reliable? And I'm also worried because I want to preorder an album but I've heard that packages get lost or take way too long to arrive

    1. Hi! I have been solely buying from ktown4u for the past few years now, most of which are preorders. I personally really like using ktown4u because they include posters. All of my packages from them have arrived within 10-16 days to the US. And if you are weary of a lost package, I suggest using a credit card to order so that you have the security of making a claim with your credit card company. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions!

  19. Does Ktown4u ship the poster and the album at the same parcel or box?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi! If you choose "folded poster", then the poster will come inside the same box as the album. If you choose "unfolded poster", they will ship the poster in a separate poster tube. I hope this helps!

  23. hey! I wanted to know, how long does it take to prepare an item? i ordered a total of 5 albums 4 in which have already come out and 1 which i pre ordered. The three bts albums that i ordered are ready to be shipped but the one ateez album that has already came out hasnt been prepared yet nor the pre ordered album. is that normal?

    1. Hi! I've generally only pre-ordered from Ktown, and my items were always shipped out within 24 hours of the item being released. If your pre-ordered album hasn't been released yet, I wouldn't worry! Your entire order should be shipped out within a day or so after all albums have been released. If your pre-ordered album has already been released, maybe you can contact Ktown via their 1:1 contacting service? Good luck and I hope you get your albums soon!

  24. Hi! I ordered 5 albums. 4 of them were labeled ready to ship yet 1 of them is still a preparing item..... I did message them about exchanging the item with the different version if my ordered album has a problem or out of stock. . ... It's been 3 days yet they did not message me..... Do you think it's normal?

    1. Hi, thanks for your question! Usually Ktown4u replies within 24 hours via their 1:1 service, however February 4th was Lunar New Year so they might still be on holiday. I think it's normal for the delay, but maybe you can try messaging them again in a few days? Best of luck!

Will they give me my tracking number for the shipment? The album will be released at the end of the month. Thank you.

    1. Hi! It depends on the shipping method you chose. Usually K-packets and other cheaper shipping options don't come with a tracking number, while more expensive shipping options (DHL, EMS, UPS, etc.) do include a tracking number and will be emailed to you or you can refresh your order details in your Ktown4u account. Hope this helps and I'm excited for you to grow your Kpop collection!
