As previously stated in my last post, this past August 2016, Infinite presented their small concert series That Summer Concert 3 (그해여름3). For the first time, Woollim also created a temporary exhibition at the concert venue, entitled History of Infinite. This exhibition took place on every day of the That Summer Concert 3 Seoul stops, from August 3rd to the 7th. I was lucky enough to have a very special Inspirit friend help me to get some official merchandise from the concert and surprise me with getting me some items from the exhibition! Here, I'll be blogging about some of the items from the History of Infinite.
Guide and Floor Plan Pamphlet
Unfortunately it's hard to find much information about this special exhibition, but hopefully I can help fill that gap. I didn't actually experience this concert or the exhibit. So first off, I'm forever grateful to my Inspirit friend for giving me the History of Infinite guide and floor plan pamphlet in both English and Korean. I'll only show the English version in more depth.
Here is one side of the pamphlet.
I decided to also scan these pages for more detail. The first page provides an introduction to the exhibition.
The remaining pages reveal the floor plan, which is really detailed, outlining the various features throughout the exhibition.
Here is the other side of the pamphlet. Included are photos of the members; most of these are closeups of the Be Back photocards.
Here is a closeup scan of the exhibition information on both pamphlets.
Postcard Set
At the exhibit, Woollim was also selling boxed photocard sets made especially for the History of Infinite. These boxed sets are limited and even ran out before the full five days of the exhibit were over. I'm so thankful that my friend went to the exhibit on the first day when these were still available. They were selling for 34,000₩ each.
This cardboard box is really sturdy and high quality. Its dimensions are roughly 6.75in x 4.5in x 2in.
Next I’ll group the postcards chronologically by era.
Logo (2010 - 2016):
It's interesting how the wings of the Be Back logo didn't sprout until after the album's official release. Also I like that not only the Korean album Infinite logos were chosen, but also the Second Invasion concert series logo and The Origin logo are included as well.
Evolution (2011):
Sadly the earliest eras don't have much presence, and the photos that are included from start to Season 2 appear to be from the album photobooks. I decided to go through all of my Infinite albums, so I'll only point out if a postcard isn't from an album. I am glad that there is still one card for Evolution, but unfortunately there are none for First Invasion.
Inspirit (2011):
Sungyeol's photo actually isn't included in the Over The Top album!
Paradise (2011):
I really like this set of postcards because these photos are all enlargements of very cropped photos from the album photobook. Additionally, Woohyun's photo (center) was only used as his Paradise photocard.
Evolution (2011):
Inspirit (2011):
Over The Top (2011):
Paradise (2011):
Infinitize (2012):
I appreciate that though these photos are from the album photobook, they're still sized differently; Myungsoo's here shows more of the fence while Hoya's in the photobook was a cropped closeup. I can't believe they labeled Dongwoo's photo as New Challenge!
Another Me (2012):
Fly High (2013):
New Challenge (2013):
Destiny (2013):
Here, Sungyeol's and Dongwoo's photos are the same as their Destiny photocards and Hoya's has a nice filter here different from in the album photobook.
Season 2 (2014):
Be Back (2014):
This era has the most postcards, at 15. These 5 are from the album photobook (not the special behind-the-scenes photobook).
There are also 6 postcards of extra photos from the album photoshoot.
靑 (2014):
There are 9 postcards designated for Infinite F's 靑, with only these 4 actually from the album photobook. None of these 9 postcards are in any of Infinite F's Japanese releases.
Here are the remaining 5 postcards. I love that a cute behind-the-scenes photo of Sungjong from the music video filming is included. Also in the group photo, Sungyeol's wearing a different top than that pinstripe blazer! None of Infinite F's albums include photos of Sungyeol wearing this.
Fly Again (2015):
None of these photos are from the album photobook, and only the two Dongwoo-carpet-outfit photos are from that photoshoot. I'm happy they also included additional photos from Infinite H filming their music videos "예뻐" and "니가 미치지 않고서야"!
27 (2015):New Challenge (2013):
Destiny (2013):
Season 2 (2014):
Be Back (2014):
These last 4 are definitely my favorite from this era! I'm so happy to see these extra photos from the "Back" music video film location.
Fly Again (2015):
Reality (2015):
For You (2015):
Write.. (2016):
그 해 여름 - 두 번째 이야기 (2016):
I'm so thankful to have all of these items despite not being in Seoul. It brings back such memories to look through Infinite's past eras, and I'm excited to experience Infinite Only era now!~
