Lovelyz: 2017 Season's Greetings Review

I'm quite late to this, but I've finally opened my Lovelyz 2017 Season's Greetings! This is Lovelyz' first season's greetings. I purchased this in April at Choice Music, which I blogged about here. Below I'll unbox this season's greetings.
The packaging is like Infinite's and Lovelyz' previous season's greetings boxes, similar to a cardboard pizza box. There is a summer backyard theme, with various icons patterned across the exterior packaging. The center also lists the contents: calendar, diary, diary cover, making DVD, and style deco sticker.
The bottom of the box also has the same pattern, and the holographic Woollim sticker on the bottom. This exterior box has dimensions 12.25" by 9.1875" by 0.6875".
Opening the flap reveals the desk calendar on top.
Underneath the desk calendar are the alternate diary covers.
Then the diary is secured in its cardboard packaging.
And at the very bottom is the DVD.
Here is the diary.
The diary comes with a removable clear plastic outer layer where you can change the cover design.
The set comes with five different designs; one has a group image as the front cover and the summer pattern as the back cover, and the remaining four designs have individual member images. This season's greetings has two photoshoots that look very similar; all the images on the alternate covers are from the sweater photoshoot.
It's a tight fit, but here's how the diary looks with the group photo.
Here's how the diary looks like without the removable cover. The diary without the cover is about 5.125" by 7.5" by 0.5". There are 200 pages.
The diary begins with the 2017 and 2018 calendars, with highlights to the members' birthdays and the group's anniversary.
Next is a group picture from the loose shirts photoshoot.
This diary is filled with blank monthly calendars, blank weekly calendars, lined paper, blank paper, and graph paper. In between each section are two-page spreads of two members' individual photos in random order, all from the sweater photoshoot.
The summer concept is so soft and cute.
At the end is a group photo from the sweater photoshoot.
Here is the paper envelope that contains the making DVD.
And here is the design of the DVD. The making DVD is for all regions, is 13 minutes and 20 seconds long, and there are Korean subs at the bottom. Majority of the content is each member sharing their bucket list for 2017, as well as the behind the scenes of the photoshoots. The entire format flowed really well; it is split up into Jin, Kei, Sujeong and Mijoo for the first half and Yein, Jisoo, Jiae, and Babysoul for the second half. Before each half is the BTS of their subgroup photoshoot, then a member's individual photoshoot, then that member shares her bucket list with the other three girls. It ends with BTS of the group photoshoots and a group ment.
The desk calendar, deco stickers, and a calendar sheet (unsure of the official name) came in a sealed plastic bag. The yellow sheet contains clear circle stickers you can use to mark special dates on the desk calendar.
The deco sticker sheet has member name and photo stickers, group stickers, and random doodle stickers matching the summer theme.
One side of the calendar sheet contains global holiday dates for China, Japan, the US, and Taiwan.
The other side of the calendar sheet contains the members' printed messages and autographs.
And lastly is the desk calendar, with the first page being a group photo from the loose shirts shoot.
The backside of the desk calendar is made of a thick cardboard and is a light pink. Standing up, the calendar is about 11.25" tall, the width is 8.75", and the base is about 3".
Similar to the diary, there is a page showing the 2017 calendar, along with the members' birth dates and Lovelyz' anniversary.
The following page has individual shots of the girls from the loose shirt shoot.
Next are the monthly calendar pages. Each member gets one month in random order. Each month gets one photo from each shoot. One side has the calendar displayed in one line at the bottom.
The other side has the calendar displayed in a weekly format on the top corner. This is such a cute photo of Jisoo, and so refreshing for their summery concept!
I love how soft these photoshoots are, especially for Jin's photos.
Jin is so adorable with that giant teddy bear!
Jiae fits this concept so well, especially with her cute pigtails.
Here's the other side of Jiae's month.
There are also four months where the photos are of pairs. Photos for February and May are all from the sweater shoot. Here's May.
And here's the other side of May.
Photos from September and December are all from the loose clothes shoot. Here's September. The indoor tepee is really cute.
Here's the other side of September. This indoor shoot looks like a PB Teen catalog shoot, very minimalist and clean.
The last page has the cute summery design again.

Overall, I really like this season's greetings! The various diary covers are a fun way to change things up, and I love the fresh and fun concept of the calendar. I'm happy to have Lovelyz' first season's greetings to display!

Lovelyz: Once Upon A Time (Limited Version) Review

Lovelyz has come back with their sixth mini album, Once Upon A Time, on May 20th, 2019! There is a normal version and a limited version. I blogged about ordering my OUAT albums here and I gave a brief intro to this era and unboxed the normal version here. I'll be unboxing the limited version  and will include a breakdown of the tracklist in this post.
The limited version is packaged in a sturdy canvas box. The text and design are in gold that looks like it's been chipped off; at first I thought it was poor quality, then I realized that it's to give off an ancient artifact feel, like an old fairy tale book to fit the concept of this era. I personally really like this design!
The spine also fits with this fairy tale theme, as it only reveals the album title and the Woollim and Kakao M logo subtly in white; it really looks like a book on a shelf rather than an album.
The backside has the tracklist and production info, also detailed with metallic gold. I'll discuss the tracklist more below. This exterior casing is about 6.1875" by 7.25" by 1.656".
The flap on the right is held in place by two magnets; opening this flap reveals the contents inside. The inside is lined with gold to match the exterior. There is a matching gold ribbon that can be used to lift up the contents.
On the top is the random thanks to card, and underneath that is the random photocard. Both the thanks to card and the photocard are exclusive to the limited version; the normal version has its own set of random special letters and photocards.
The limited version comes with one random thanks to card out of eight. The exterior has a pretty design matching the album cover with metallic gold and is made of cardstock. It's folded so that the member is unknown until you open the flap.
Here is the backside of the thanks to card.
I pulled Babysoul! Inside is a matte image of the member from the black photoshoot and a printed handwritten message from that member. When the card is fully opened and flatted, its dimensions are about 5.875" by 7.6875".
The limited version also includes one random photocard out of eight. I am now two for two in pulling Jisoo from Lovelyz' limited albums!
The backside has the same design as the normal photocard, but the printed sign and message are different. The photocard is glossy and has the same dimensions and edge roundness as the normal OUAT album, regular Heal photocards, as well as Infinite's latest releases (Top Seed, 10 Stories, Second Write.., Bye, and A New Journey).
Underneath the thanks to card and photocard is majority of the album: 101 matte, loose leaf pages that make up the photobook.
The first 57 sheets are from the orange photoshoot and begins with a group photo.
The next page shows the special thanks to message. There are also four paired photos by age order (Babysoul and Jiae, Jisoo and Mijoo, etc.) from the orange shoot.
The backside of each paired photo has those members' individual thanks to messages. The page opposite these messages are of random objects.
The underside of all these sheets don't contain photos. They either have the thanks to message, song credits and lyrics, or have a back like pictured above. I absolutely love this photo of Kei; the light coming through the translucent curtain showcases Kei so well!
Majority of the photos are individual shots. In the orange photoshoot, the photos are in age order from Babysoul to Yein, cycling through each member, a total of six times (one photo of Babysoul, then one of Jiae,...,one of Yein, and repeat). This is really Sujeong's era for me! She looks even more stunning than ever, especially with her fresh haircut.
The props fit so well with this photoshoot, like this flower.
The song credits and lyrics are also spread throughout the photobook.
I love this photo of Kei and Jin. It looks like a family portrait!
The remaining sheets are from the black photoshoot and the majority photos are individual shots.
I seriously cannot get over Sujeong's look!
There are five photos per member from the black shoot, this time in age order from Yein to Babysoul. It's weird though, every time the order is Sujeong, then Kei, then Jin.
I really like this photoshoot. It's very classy and reminds me of an old fashion office setting.
This is such a gorgeous photo of Kei.
And in one round, the order is Jisoo, then Mijoo, then Jiae.
The last sheet is a group photo.
The backside of the last sheet has the album credits.
At the very bottom of the album is CD, embedded in a hard casing and wedged by a round foam.
This mini album contains six tracks:
  1. Once upon a time - is the intro track leading up to the title, created by Spacecowboy.
  2. 그 시절 우리가 사랑했던 우리 (Beautiful Days) - is the title, again co-created by Spacecowboy, a member of One Piece who has worked on many of Lovelyz' tracks! Spacecowboy also worked on Lovelyz' previous intro and title tracks, "Sanctuary" and "Lost N Found". This track is definitely staying true to Lovelyz' sound.
  3. Close To You - SEION co-wrote and co-composed this track. She also worked on Infinite's "Why Me" and Golden Child's "Thank You" and "Genie"!
  4. Sweet Luv
  5. Secret Story - is the slowest track in this album. It's a beautiful ballad that the girls have been promoting along with the title.
  6. LOVE GAME - is created by Ollounder and LEEZ, the same team who worked on Golden Child's "넌 모를 거야 (YTMOB)"! Even better, Sujeong wrote the chorus to this track! Other than the title, this is my favorite track. It sounds like an old video game and has the same feel has "Welcome to the Lovelyz8".
Overall, I absolutely love the limited version of Once Upon A  Time. The packaging is my favorite among all of Lovelyz' albums and is very high quality. The photobook sheets are also very gorgeous, and the thanks to card is beautiful as well. I'm just a little iffy on the photocard images from the limited version. All the tracks have also grown on me too; my favorites are definitely the title and "LOVE GAME"!
