[IFNT COLL] Infinite Other Albums

In this post, I'll show my other albums within my Infinite collection. These albums are outliers that don't belong in my other Infinite album posts, so I decided to group them all here. If you haven't already, please check out the introduction to My Infinite Collection here. Below, I'll break down this "other albums" collection and include my unboxing review of each item using ∞.

LPs

It feels so special to play Kpop albums on a record player, like combining two different generations together. I wish I enjoyed playing LPs more often, so that I could expand my Kpop LP collection^^ But of course, my two Infinite LPs will always be most special~

I know that I had already included IEA Live in my DVD collection, but I felt that it belongs equally in this collection as well. I'm really happy for Infinite to have released live albums - it's really cool listening to Infinite's performances versus their studio recordings.

Instrumental Albums

Coin: Silver (out of 3)

The packaging of this album is absolutely beautiful. It's very minimalist yet so elegant with the color scheme and embedded coin. I really like how the tracks are split up into "White", "Black", and "Gold" to match the genre. Maybe a few more releases down the line, Woollim will be able to release another instrumental album. 

All of these albums are really special. It may seem like Woollim's just trying to release random things to make more money, but I like that these albums are all really well designed, enhance Infinite's album collection, and they make me appreciate music so much more. I have come to really cherish LPs and have started listening to my dad's LPs from back in the day, I love having live tracks to listen to, and I love (occasionally) listening to the instrumentals. I can't wait to see what other of these special albums Woollim has planned in the future!

[IFNT COLL] Infinite Korean Albums

I am finally showing my Korean albums for My Infinite Collection series! Please check out my introduction post here. I will first show all of my Korean Infinite albums together, then I'll break them up first by those without photocards, and then I'll show my albums with photocards and order them by release. I will also link my unboxing review of each item with a ∞.

I became an Inspirit well after these albums were initially released, so I don't have first press of these. The first press of First Invasion comes with a special sticker, Evolution has a promotional poster that is really hard to find now, first press Inspirit of course has the super rare member photocards, and the first press of Infinitize comes with a random member audio track, none of which I have. As for Over The Top, there is only first press or the new gold edition. I had bought one copy of OTT new but weirdly enough they sent me two without the exterior slip and with a "Used" stamp. Because of this, my collection still feels like it's missing OTT.

My Albums with Photocards

Paradise (Repackaged Album)

∞ It's interesting how this album may come with 0, 1, or 2 photocards. Mine only came with Sungjong's, then I started collecting more but never finished. I really do like this set of photocards though - it looks so timeless and classy.

New Challenge (Mini Album)

∞ New Challenge is really significant to me because it is the first comeback I experienced as an Inspirit (though tbh, I was still just a Myungsoo stan back then and was slowly getting to know OT7). I was still new on pre-ordering back then, so I had foolishly missed first press which includes one hidden track out of 6 instrumental tracks from the album. My album came with Sungjong's photocard, but I couldn't resist collecting more. I spend about $14 on Myungsoo's photocard which seems expensive to me, but the happiness I've received from it <3

Destiny (Single)

∞ I keep coming up with reasons for trying to collect all photocards from one release. For Destiny, I was thinking that because the photocards were shot in the US (Universal Studios in LA), I had to get them all. My album came with Sungyeol's and I stopped after collection 4 total.

Season 2 (Full Length Album)

∞ Season 2 definitely has one of my most favorite photoshoots (disregarding the black-and-white cow outfits). I love how "Last Romeo" fits absolutely perfectly with the album concept and the lace suits.

Be Back (Repackaged Album)

∞ Be Back also has a special place in my heart because this album was released while I was studying in Seoul. I had bought 4 albums there (1 initially that came with Woohyun, then 3 to enter a fansign that came with Sungkyu, Dongwoo, and Sungjong). Despite its special place in my heart, I decided not to collect all 7 photocards, because the 3 that I have now are even more special since I got them with my albums in Seoul.

I am so thankful for my Inspirit friend who gifted me with the normal version of both Reality and Infinite Only, and for so many photocards and date cards from these releases. I love that Woollim continues their release pattern and album packaging, keeping the mini albums the same.

This is my most complete set of photocards, 10 out of 14! Because I have 3 duplicates (black and white versions of Sungkyu, Dongwoo, and Sungyeol), I would love to trade for either version of Woohyun or Myungsoo^^

I really hope Infinite will release more Korean OT7 albums throughout the near future! If they're sticking to their release pattern, we should be expecting their next release to be a single...

[IFNT COLL] Drama Merchandise

Here's the next installation of My Infinite Collection series: Infinite members' drama merchandise! For a refresher, check out my introductory post about my collection here. Usually I would provide a list of anything that I'm missing, however I'm just not really sure what drama merchandise I'm missing that would include a photo or something else of an Infinite member. I will include the ∞ for each item to link my unboxing review of it.

This mini collection only consists of dramas that featured Hoya and/or L. For the dramas where they were not a part of the main cast, I impulse bought their drama OSTs in hopes that a photo of Hoya/L would be included. Lo and behold, each OST that I gambled on did have Hoya/L included^^ Below I'll list the dramas in Korean alphabetical order.

가면 Mask (Hoya)

∞ This CD isn't photo-heavy, but I was very happy to see one small picture of Hoya on the last page! I absolutely loved the complex, suspenseful storyline of Mask, and Hoya's acting made me fall for him all over again!

내겐 너무 사랑스러운 그녀 My Lovely Girl (Hoya & L)

∞ I honestly still have not finished this drama...and I don't know if I ever will. The story isn't interesting, the characters are a bit boring, there's no chemistry, and I just don't have that emotional attachment. Despite all of that, I got the album in support of Infinite Power^^

너를 사랑한 시간 The Time We Weren't In Love (L)

∞ This drama is definitely one of my top five favorites, and not just because of Myungsoo! Ha Ji Won is such a lovable actress and I loved the relationship between her character and Myungsoo's. Sadly Myungsoo's only featured in those two pages (above), but it's nice reliving that umbrella scene every time I look at it^^

닥치고 꽃미남밴드 Shut Up Flower Boy Band (L)

∞ SUFBB is a very special drama to me because it is the drama that converted me from loving Kdramas to loving Kpop, and more specifically, becoming an Inspirit. I was watching this drama the same time that a college friend was showing me Infinite's music video for "Be Mine", and watching that karaoke scene where they sang "Be Mine", it all clicked and I just fell in love with Myungsoo and Infinite.

∞ I am also including the Etude House Pink Dolphin hand cream, because that scene is always so fresh in my mind. To think, I have the same hand cream style that Myungsoo held in his hand...^^

앙큼한 돌싱녀 Cunning Single Lady (L)

∞ This drama is lighthearted and refreshing, and Myungsoo's character just makes it all the more better! He played the perfect assistant with his cheerful and youthful personality.

응답하라 1997 Reply 1997 (Hoya)

∞ Honestly, I had tried watching this drama long before I knew about Infinite and before I was into Kpop. It was just too different from the fluffy dramas I was used to back then. After I became an Inspirit and realized that Hoya was in Reply 1997, I instantly fell in love with Hoya's acting. Really, I am first drawn to actors within Kpop groups, and don't even realize that they're idols until much later. I do wonder if I had continued watching Reply 1997 initially, would Hoya have been my bias...?

[IFNT COLL] Infinite DVDs

Here is my next installation of my Infinite collection! If you've missed out on my recent posts, I have an introductory post that you can check out here. I'll show my Infinite DVD collection in this post, with ∞ links to my unboxing review of each item. This part of my collection is definitely the most incomplete due to Infinite's many rare DVD sets from their hay days and their many Japanese DVD releases that I can't keep up with. I absolutely love Infinite's summer concert series with small venues and many shows. They're so different from Infinite's grand concerts like Second Invasion or One Great Step and give off such a personable atmosphere.

Before seeing Infinite live, watching my concert DVDs was already intense enough with my constant fangirling. But after seeing Infinite live, watching their concert DVDs has taken me on an even deeper emotional fangirling level. I always tear up with that bittersweet feeling of being grateful for seeing Infinite, but being greedy for wanting to see them again. On another note, I can't believe I pulled Myungsoo for the IEA photocard! (<-- More fangirling in my IEA Live review)

I'm so happy that Woollim released these documentaries. It's so cool seeing Infinite in the US for Destiny in America. As for Grow, at first I was disappointed that Woollim didn't release a concert DVD for One Great Step. But Grow is a nice consolation and I'm glad that Woollim did document Infinite's first world tour to share. Now I wonder if anything will be released for Infinite Effect...

There are seriously way too many Japanese releases - either Korean shows only for the Japanese market or Japanese events that are only released on DVD in Japanese. (In hindsight, it's probably a good thing that Woollim doesn't release Korean versions of Japanese DVDs, or else I'd be broke beyond repair). When I had a layover in Tokyo in September 2013, I was determined to buy the Ranking King set in order to get an official Infinite shirt to wear to OGS LA that November. I spent about $100USD on this set that is only in Region 2 with non-English subtitles that I had already watched on YouTube...I feel like this was not worth it, but I'm glad I got to wear my Sungyeol shirt to the concert^^

I am not missing any release, except for the ultra rare limited editions of Sungkyu's Another Me and Woohyun's Write.. albums. The album comes with 2 photocards; mine came with the 2 Sungyeol cards above. I really like the Polaroid-like design, so I bid on eBay for those L ones. I also bid for the hologram Sungjong one, because I thought I'd try to collect all 9 photocards, but that was a short-lived dream.

Toheart (Woohyun & Key)

With my luck, I got Key's photocard...there are 2 Woohyun cards, 2 Key cards, and 2 group cards, and I got 1 of the 2 without Woohyun.

[IFNT COLL] Infinite Japanese Albums

This is my first detailed post from My Infinite Collection series, which I give an introduction here. In these posts, I will begin with a collective photo and list any releases that I am missing. Then I will break it down by each release and list any versions that I am missing. Click the ∞ before each album to see my unboxing review of it.

Missing Entirely: Best of Infinite

Here is my entire collection of Infinite's Japanese album releases. I have tried to get at least one version of each album, however it's getting harder with the increasing number of releases these past few years.

BTD (Single)

Infinite's Japanese debut, the beginning of Infinite having more than one version of a release. The normal edition comes with the Group card with the limited editions come with 1 out of 7. I pulled Sungkyu from Type A. At the time I first looked into these albums (in early 2013), Type A was going for around $50 new and Type B was well over $100 new. So I opted for buying Type B used from eBay, and the seller included a bonus external postcard (there are at least 2 designs) and L's card.

These are becoming so much harder to find new, so I'm not sure if I'll ever get the Pop Art one. The Innocent one has so much meaning to me because it was one of my first Infinite albums ever - I fell in love with the concept instantly. Each version comes with 1 of 7 random postcards.

This limited edition is probably my favorite of Infinite's limited editions. The packaging, the photobook, the random card, they're all absolutely perfect. Because of this feeling, I have no desire to get the normal edition.

At the time, I was just really relieved that this release included a completely new photoshoot, unlike Last Romeo which reused the Season 2 photoshoot. Now, I absolutely love the photoshoot from Dilemma, especially from the normal photobooklet. I was never one to instinctively order Infinite's Japanese releases, but for this release, I have no regrets whatsoever.

It was already hard enough for me to come to terms with getting all versions of Last Romeo and Dilemma. But to have all 9 versions of 24 Hours, I feel so silly, and I have yet to open Sungkyu's and Dongwoo's versions. But anyways, the first press normal and limited versions come with 1 photocard. I heard that the Group card is all too common, so I'm happy to have received the Group one from the normal and Sungyeol from the limited.

I absolutely love these random member booklets. The photos are all so adorable, how can one not want to collect all 7. I initially bought KNOT at HMV in Tokyo and got Hoya. The first hyperlink is my review with the Hoya booklet. Then my friend ordered one and got L and readily traded with me! I was so happy, then I realized that I should just collect all 7...so I bought a used KNOT on Amazon and got Woohyun! The second hyperlink is an updated post with photos of the Woohyun and L booklets.

For You (Full Length Album)

10 versions may be a bit excessive, so I'll stick to just this 1 version for now. I can make do without a photocard or an A4 folder.

Each version, granted that it is first press, comes with 1 out of 5 photocards. I'm really happy that I didn't receive any duplicates. I originally only bought Type A and got Sungyeol. Unfortunately my album arrived damaged, so I exchanged it and in return received the Group card. Later on I ordered Type B and got Sungjong. Lastly, I bought the Taiwanese edition of the normal version and got L (← a moment to fangirl, as this was my first time pulling L^^). I also have a poster for this, but I'm not sure where to blog about my posters yet...

[IFNT COLL] My Infinite Collection Introduction

Infinite means the world to me as they've helped me become a better version of myself. Not only that, I'm so grateful to Inspirits for helping me grow as well. Recently I had an application essay with the topic What is your best community? and I instinctively wrote about how the Inspirit community has given me so much strength and how I always want to give back to the fandom. I hope that my blog posts have helped Inspirits and the broader audience with better understanding Infinite merchandise and Korean merchandise in general. Now I'll begin a series of posts to reveal my entire Infinite collection that also compiles my unboxing reviews of those items.

I have been collecting since March 2013 and am really proud of this collection, though of course it's not complete and I'm missing quite a few of the more recent releases due to the many versions being released. Everything is official and was purchased new except for BTD Type B (black) and Over The Top.

To begin, I store majority of my Infinite merchandise on my shelves here. The bottom shelf is all Infinite stuff, from right to left: drama OSTs, mini albums, singles, full length albums, repackaged albums, Japanese releases, photo essay books, Japanese DVDs, Korean DVDs, and Reality limited edition at the end. The shelf above on the left contains collection card binders, Season's Greetings boxes, IDEA photobook, and She's Back limited album. I'm running out of room so there are some items sadly not on display.

I display some of my Infinite memorabilia on these shelves. I put random items on here, like L'aile's goods, fansite fans, concert merchandise, calendars, T-money cards, and endorsement goods. You can also see the L's Bravo Viewtiful Part 2 poster on the left - many of my posters are framed and lying against my walls. I'll figure out how to show those later.

As you can see, my displays are quite messy. Once I finish this series of posts, I hope to reorganize my room and properly display my Infinite merchandise. Then, I would like to post my Inspirit room tour to properly show my displays.

I have been wanting to post about my Infinite collection for quite some time but still haven't figured out an efficient way to organize everything. I'll try my best and break up my collection into separate, detailed posts:
