On December 24th, 2021 at 12PM KST, Woollim announced Woohyun's 2022 offline fan meeting for January 22nd and 23rd. The title is "나무컴퍼니 신년워크샵" (translated to Namu Company New Year Workshop), and the poster is really adorable with Woohyun as 5 different employees within the company. The fan meeting poster released on January 11th at 12PM KST shows the 5 employee descriptions: CEO Nam Dalla, Star Nam Woohyun, Director Nam (Nam Bujang), Assistant Manager Nam (Nam Daeri), and Staff Nam (Nam Sawon).
On December 28th at 12PM KST, Woollim Mall previewed the accompanying merchandise, with the first round of preordering from December 28th 2PM KST until January 2nd 11:59PM KST. It's a bit ambiguous whether or not additional rounds of preordering will take place...
Just as the preorders opened, Infinite's Vlive posted the product detail and announced the first preorder delivery schedule will begin on January 17th. The merchandise, branded "NAM WOO HYUN 2022 FAN MEETING [나무컴퍼니 (Namu Company)], includes:
- ACRYLIC LIGHT STICK / 23,000₩ / $19.48 USD
- PHOTO SET / 20,000₩ / $16.94 USD
- PHOTOBOOK SET / 35,000₩ / $29.65 USD
- TUMBLER SET / 30,000₩ / $25.41 USD
- OFFICE SET / 38,000₩ / $32.19 USD
No events or benefits have been announced by Woollim Mall for this merchandise.
While in the past I would generally preorder Woollim Mall merch from Kpoptown because they are less expensive and are straightforward with their tracking than Woollim Mall, surprisingly this time Woollim Mall was about $72 USD cheaper. Ordering 1 of each item and shipped to the US totalled $233.19 USD ($123.67 for the merch and $109.52 for shipping) via Woollim Mall and $305.50 USD ($146.50 for the merch and $159.00 for DHL shipping) via Kpoptown.
But of course with my never-ending battle with Woollim Mall, I am still blacklisted from placing an order on this godforsaken site...I sincerely thank my kind friend for helping me to get these goods!
I've been scaling back on Infinite merchandise (now that everything's online, I need to control my impulse buying), but as I've learned with Golden Child, I'm a sucker for branded items like the high school theme, sports theme, airlines theme, etc. and this Namu Company is no different! I'm even more in love with how Woollim has created an entire company around Woohyun, with the company name and logo, and how even the merchandise fits the company theme so well from company envelopes to IDs and lanyards to even the tumbler which looks like a giveaway item that companies would give out at career fairs. Having the 5 different employees of the company for the fan meeting posters and merch is also really cute.
Shortly after preorders closed, Woollim Mall announced that the manufacturing of the tumbler has changed from general printing to laser printing, and showing an image where the previous design had the logo and text printed in green and the new design will have the logo and text in silver. Honestly I really liked the previous version more, but it is what it is. The announcement also stated that you may cancel your order for a refund by end of day January 13th, and those who who don't cancel their orders will have their orders shipped sequentially starting on January 17th.
In line with how Woollim had posted a first round of preordering, on January 21st at 12PM KST Woollim Mall tweeted the second round of preordering from now until the end of January 24th KST, with shipping starting on February 14th.
Packaging
My package arrived via UPS on February 11th! It was quite a large box to my surprise.
That silly sticker was once again plastered on the top of the box, stating to take an unboxing video in case of missing or damaged products.
The products took up about half of the box, and there were 2 empty bubblewrap bags on top.
I had a mini heart attack only seeing 4 products...but it turns out, they put the photobook set and photo set together in the same bubblewrap bag. All other products were in their own individual bubblewrap bag.
Here are all 5 products.
Acrylic Light Stick
The light stick comes packaged with a piece of cardstock branded with "나무컴퍼니 신년워크샵" on the front and then "NAMU COMPANY" behind the light stick. I really like how they have "Namu Company" designed to look like a legit company in both Korean and English; it really adds to the global feel of this fun au^^
This is packaged in a clear resealable bag with the product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication seal on the back.
I'm usually not a fan of acrylic light sticks, especially when official group light sticks already exist. But this one was too cute to pass up. I love how the Namu Company logo does look like a legit company logo but yet fits Woohyun so well. This light stick is 8.875" tall and the acrylic disc is 4.875" in diameter. The button to activate the light is on this handle, and the company logo in Korean is printed at the bottom of the handle.
The acrylic disc is 0.125" thick, and the plastic white handle is about 0.6875" thick.
Here is how the backside looks. There are 2 small screws at the top, and the 1 small screw at the bottom holds the lid to the battery area together. There is a clear plastic tab sticking out of the top of this lid, but pulling on that didn't really do anything. I haven't bothered actually testing the light stick since I only plan to display it rather than use it, so apologies for not actually reviewing that functionality (also partly because I couldn't figure it out >.<).
Photo Set
The photo set comes packaged inside a silver zip lock bag.
The backside has the product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication seal.
The packaging of the photo set is a paper envelope, with the company logo showcased in the bottom right corner and the Namu Company address at the top left corner.
Here is a closeup of the address: Namu City, Woohyun District, something to do with Heart Road with the numbers referring to Woohyun's birthday~
Taking out the photos from the envelope~
It's really faint, but the backside of these photos have "FUJIFILM" printed across them. These really are photos that you'd go to get printed, and the frontside is glossy and prone to fingerprints. The photos are 8.25" by 11.75".
Here are all 3 photos! They are of CEO Nam Dalla, Assistant Manager Nam, and Staff Nam. It would've felt more complete if they had a photo of each employee, but I'm content with how it is now~
Photobook Set
The photobook set comes packaged inside a silver zip lock bag. Along with the photobook, this includes a set of photocards that come inside a clear resealable bag.
The backside has the product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication seal.
There are 5 photocards, 1 for each employee. The backside of all the photocards have the company design in the center. The photocards all have a glossy finish. This is the same design as the photocards from the tumbler set.
The photobook is softback and has a nice glossy finish that isn't prone to fingerprints. The front cover is really adorable with all 5 employees. The spine is a simple white. The dimensions of the photobook are about 8.3125" by 11.6875" by 0.25". There are 68 pages excluding the covers.
The back cover is simple with the company logo.
Within the first few pages is a postcard of CEO Nam. Also as a side not, that photo of the CEO peeking his eyes through the window shade is adorable^^Here is a closeup of the postcard. This is matte and about 4.125" by 5.722".
The backside of the postcard is so adorable! It's a letter from the company and at the very bottom is a red stamp of the company logo.
The start of the photobook in has the company logo.
The first section contains 14 pages of CEO Nam looking like a boss.Majority of the pages contain 1 to 2 photos per page, with a few 2-page spreads sprinkled around.
The next 14 pages are of our Star Nam Woohyun.
I love how high quality all these photos are with limited wasted white space to really showcase the employee and the office setting.
The next 12 pages are of Staff Nam. I love Staff Nam's set of photos because they are all just so relatable for those entering the corporate world. Copiers are confusing!
He is so into making his drink^^ Need to take advantage of company freebies!
The next 14 pages are of Assistant Manager Nam Daeri. It's cute seeing his playful side along with his authoritative side as assistant manager^^
It's nice seeing more office setting shots^^And the last 12 pages are of Director Nam. I am in love with this look, so it's a bit sad this section doesn't have 14 pages like the other employees.
I love seeing the company branded folder and ID card^^And the last page has the company logo. Because they put so much effort into creating these 5 employees within the fan meeting poster, I wish they had added textual personas within the photobook to really make each employee come to life. But other than that, I absolutely love the photobook as all the photos are to perfection!
Tumbler Set
The tumbler set comes in a thin cardboard box, with the top lid taped shut by that matte company sticker. I really wanted to preserve the sticker but ended up cutting through it to open the box...
The backside of the box has the product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication seal. These product stickers are really cute to include the company workshop logo^^
Opening up the top flap reveals a cardstock product tag sitting on top of the tumbler.
If anyone actually cares, here's one side of the product tag, with majority of the info in Korean.
Here is the other side of the product tag. It looks like it was designed in Canada.
Here are the contents of the tumbler set!
Here is the tumbler, with the company design in silver on the front. The tumbler is made of stainless steel so it has a cooling touch to it. And like the light stick, I don't actually plan on using this so I can't really give any feedback on if it keeps your drink hot or cold...so far I really love the quality of the tumbler though!
The bottom of the tumbler has what I believe is rubber, so that it can grip the surface well and not slip easily. It states to hand wash only, that it is 20 fl oz or 591 ml, and that it's made in China.
Here is the lid of the tumbler. It's made of super thick plastic and has a rubber ring on the side to securely fit in the tumbler. My first picture shows the lid in the closed position, and here I slid the plastic strip so it is in the open position.
Here is a glimpse inside the tumbler. The tumbler is about 7" tall and 3.4375" in diameter at the top.
The photocard set comes in a clear resealable bag. Like the photocard set from the photobook set, the backside of these photocards have the company design in the center, and all have a glossy finish.
Like the photo set, this photocard set contains CEO Nam Dalla, Assistant Manager Nam Daeri, and Staff Nam.
Office Set
The office set comes in a cardstock box, and then inside a clear resealable bag. The front of the box has the company logo in English.
The backside of the exterior packaging has the product sticker and holographic Woollim authentication seal.
There is also the company logo on the backside of the box. You can see here the box is a bit flimsy and the side flaps are sticking out; it seems that it should be just a tad bit wider to accommodate the dimensions of the contents inside.
Opening up all the flaps (similar packaging to Infinite's Paradise album) reveals all the contents inside. Like the light stick packaging, the inside of the box has "NAMU COMPANY" printed on it.
Here are all of the contents of the office set: A4 poster & L holder, photo pad, ID photo, and lanyard & ID card. All items are in clear resealable bags except for the photo bad, which is in a loose bag. I love just how diverse this office set is, and the items are a great mix of practical office items (perfect for the home office) and pictures of Woohyun.
Here are the backsides of all the items.
Here is the photo pad, which features Assistant Manager Nam Daeri. It has the company logo centered at the bottom. The pad is really flexible and grips really well, serving its purpose well (and for this reason it was difficult taking it out of its bag packaging). The pad is about 8.75" by 7.5" by 0.125".
Here is the ID photo, which features an ID photo for each of the 5 Nam employees. The sheet itself is glossy with dimensions about 5.3125" by 4.5", and each ID photo is about 1.1875" by 1.625".
The ID photo sheet comes with this thicker piece of matte paper with the company workshop logo printed on the backside.
The ID photo sheet was printed on fujifilm. The A4 posters are packaged together inside the L holder. The L holder includes the company logo on the top left and features Staff Nam.
The backside of the L holder has the logo in the center.
Here are the 2 A4 posters alongside the L holder! These 2 posters are of the 2 employees not featured in the photo set or photocard set from the tumbler.
And lastly are the lanyard and ID card. The ID card holder came inside a penny sleeve. The lanyard has the company logo in Korean printed on both sides, and at the end is a metal clip to attach the ID card holder. The ID card is of Staff Nam and has the company logo printed on top.
The ID card holder is made of thick plastic and houses Staff Nam's ID card. I didn't want to risk breaking the holder, so I left the ID card inside.
Here is the backside of the ID card, including the company's logo in English. Here is how to fasten the lanyard end to the ID card holder.
And here is the ID card holder attached to the lanyard.
Overall, I am really amazed with the entire Namu Company concept and how Woollim went all out with the accompanying merchandise. This is definitely one of my absolutely favorite collections by far that Woollim has released. I personally am not actually using any of these items for the sake of preserving them, but I do plan on displaying a lot of these items^^
